Chadd & Moritz here, THE FOUNDERS OF JOURNEE

Hi there,

We’re Moritz and Chadd - two dads, two friends, and now the two co-founders of Journee.

Our story began years ago, working together at our previous company, and we quickly realised we loved creating things side by side. Since then, life’s taken us both on the biggest adventure of all: fatherhood. Moritz has a three-year-old daughter, whose imagination is endless. Chadd has a baby girl, who’s just starting out in her own little world of wonder.

Journee didn’t start as a company idea. It started as letters. Moritz began writing weekly adventure letters for his nephews in Norway, with the kids as the heroes and family members woven in as side characters. Every week a new envelope arrived, and every week they couldn’t wait to open it. It became a small ritual in their home, the kind that turns reading into something kids look forward to, not something they’re pushed into.

That’s when it clicked: maybe this wasn’t just for our family. Maybe more kids deserved stories that feel personal, tangible, and genuinely exciting.

At the heart of Journee is a simple belief: imagination is a child’s greatest superpower. As dads, we see every day how that spark turns boxes into castles, or a puddle into an ocean crossing. But we also see how easy it can be for that spark to be stamped out by screens and schedules. Journee is our way of protecting that spark through screen-free stories crafted around your child’s world.

For Moritz, this mission is personal. Growing up with dyslexia, reading often felt like a battle, until he found Harry Potter, a story he couldn’t put down. That one shift, from frustration to curiosity, became a lifelong love of reading. That’s what we want to pass on: stories that make kids forget they’re “supposed to be reading” and instead dive in because they can’t wait to see what happens next.

So here we are, two dads still building together, this time for our daughters, our families, and hopefully yours too. We’re here to create little moments of magic, the dash to the mailbox, the bedtime “one more page”, the kind of memories that stick.
