Absolutely. Moritz here, as one of Journee's co-founders, this is something I care about deeply. When I was a young child, I really struggled at school and ended up repeating the third year in elementary school. Eventually, I was diagnosed with dyslexia - I found it almost impossible to tell the difference between certain letters, and reading felt like a daily battle. What changed everything for me was getting hooked on a story I loved - Harry Potter. I started out listening to the audiobooks - avoiding reading at all cost. But when the next book wasn't available as an audiobook, my curiosity got the better of me, and I picked up the book myself. That moment was a turning point. I started reading regularly, started to improve in school and most importantly, developed a natural curiosity that would stay with me for the rest of my life.

Looking back, I realize that when a child is genuinely interested in a story, it unlocks motivation and confidence to keep going, even when reading is hard. Research shows that children with dyslexia and other learning needs benefit most from reading materials that spark their curiosity and imagination. When stories feel personal and exciting, kids are more willing to stick with it - and over time, this persistence can improve reading skills, build vocabulary, and boost self-esteem.

At Journee, our entire mission is to make reading feel like an adventure, not a chore. Every letter is crafted around your child's interests, with clear, engaging language and a focus on fun. If your child would benefit from a slower story pace, simpler vocabulary, or other adaptations, just let us know - we're happy to tailor the experience as much as possible. We're also working on adding audio and interactive formats to help even more children join the adventure.

If you have specific questions or requests for your child's learning needs, please reach out to us any time. Our team is here to help every child experience the magic of stories, no matter where they're starting from.
