Number of Letters:
The length of each story is fully customized to match the number of letters you purchase. For example, if you order a 3-letter bundle, your child’s adventure will reach a satisfying conclusion within those 3 letters. The only exception is our 20-letter package, which is split into two separate story arcs of 10 letters each. You can see an example of how this works below in the ‘Subscription’ section.

Subscriptions:
We believe that an ongoing subscription is the most engaging way for your child to experience Journee. Subscriptions can continue as long as you wish, but each individual story arc is set to 10 letters. This pacing ensures that every story feels exciting and well-developed. Once your child receives their 11th letter, a brand new story arc begins - building on the previous adventures, character growth, and decisions made.

For example, if you’ve chosen the Wizard World, the first 10 letters might cover your child’s first year at magic school. The next 10 letters could follow them into their second year, with all their choices and experiences carrying over.
If you decide to switch to a new story world during an active subscription, your customizations are saved, but the new adventure will start fresh, without continuing past character development.

Story-Jumping World:
If you pick the 'Story Jumping' world, your child will explore a brand new story and adventure in every letter. This option is perfect for kids who love variety! Just keep in mind, with story-jumping, each letter stands on its own, so there’s no ongoing storyline connecting them.

Humans set the story worlds, the overall story arc, the voice, and the rules. We review outputs, and we don’t let the system invent sensitive facts about your child or drift into content that doesn’t fit our tone.

Yes. We’ve chosen a premium paper that is designed with the environment in mind at every stage of its life. It is FSC certified, meaning the fibres come from responsibly managed forests where every tree harvested is replanted. The paper is chlorine-free, acid-free and pH neutral, ensuring that it’s safe for the environment during production and will also stand the test of time without yellowing or degrading.

It is fully recyclable and biodegradable, free from harmful chemicals and heavy metals, and manufactured using processes that minimise emissions and waste. In short, every letter your child receives is printed on paper that not only feels beautiful in their hands but also reflects our commitment to protecting the planet they’ll grow up in.

Because every Journee letter is created specifically for your child, we can’t accept traditional returns once a letter has been produced or sent. Each adventure is personalised with names, choices, and story details, which means it cannot be resold or reused.

That said, we always want families to have a great experience. If something arrives damaged, incorrect, or not quite right, please reach out to us and we’ll do our best to make it right. In many cases we can resend the letter, fix the issue for future deliveries, or find another fair solution together.

Journee letters are delivered right to your mailbox, creating a moment of excitement and wonder for your child. We use the trusted Royal Mail postal services to bring each adventure home, and you can choose special touches like wax seals for an extra magical experience. For international deliveries we are still using Royal Mail but they will hand over the leter to your local delivery service once the letter reaches your country. We are looking to print directly in the US but this will likely be only the case in Q1 2026.

If your family is planning a holiday or needs to pause deliveries, just let us know. We're happy to put your subscription on hold and resume when you return - so you never miss a moment of the story.

We do our best to make every moment special! Your first letter typically arrives within about a week.If you'd like your child's adventure to begin on a birthday or another meaningful date, just select the specific delivery date during the sign up process. Please keep in mind that we are using traditional snail mail and we can not ensure that the letter is delivered on a specific date but only 'around this time'. However, we'll do everything we can to make the magic happen right on time.
